  • Studies in violoncello at the University of Music Vienna with Frieda Litschauer and Tobias Kühne and furthermore at the Viennese Conservatory of Music with Josef Luitz.

  • Teaching examinations in music and instrumental music education as well as the teaching qualification examination for cello at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (Wiener Musikuniversität) with distinction, graduation with the Magister artium.

  • Artistic diploma examination for violoncello at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (Wiener Musikhochschule, Wiener Musikuniversität).

  • 2019 Course "Jazz in contemporary music" completed with Distinction (Danube University Krems).
  • 2020 Award of the honorary title of "Professor"

  • 2019-2021 master studies in Composition and Music Theory at the Faculty of Music of the JAM MUSIC LAB University in Vienna, 2021 Master Degree with Honors with Distinction. Topic of the Master's thesis: "Elements of Jazz in New Music with special consideration of the role of string instruments using the example of own compositions".

  • 2021, 2022 Awarded merit scholarships from JAM MUSIC LAB University.

  • 2021-2023 master studies in Composition and Music Theory at the Faculty of Music Education of the JAM MUSIC LAB University in Vienna, 2023 Master Degree with Honors with Distinction. Topic of the Master's thesis: "Jugend komponiert".

  • 1978-1982 junior contract with the ORF-Symphony-Orchestra (now RSO Wien).

  • 1983-1987 member of "Hugo Wolf-Quartett" (not identical with the now active string quartet of the same name), with this ensemble 1984 awarded by "Badener Beethoventage".

  • Since 1983 member of "Tonkünstlerkammerorchester" (today "Academia Allegro vivo"), frequently as a principal cellist and soloist; 1987-2018 also working in organizing affairs.

  • 1984-1986 member of "Wiener Kammersolisten" (flute, oboe + continuo), an ensemble specialized in baroque chamber music.

  • 1985 founding of the "Wiener Bohème-Quartett", with this ensemble numerous concerts and CDs with own arrangements ("Wiener Melange", "Bravourissimo", "Romantische Träumereien") .
  • 1987-2020 member of "Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich".
  • 1988-1998 principal cellist of the "Amadeus-Ensemble Wien" (Neue Oper Wien).

  • 1994 founding of the "Tonkünstler-Trio" (2 violins + cello), an ensemble specialized in music of the 18th century. With this ensemble numerous concerts, broadcasting- television- and CD-recordings ("Brücken zu Joseph Haydn", "Niederösterreichs Klassiker", "Ignaz Joseph Pleyel - Kammermusik"). 

  • 2011 with the pianist Edda Andrea Graf and in collaboration with INÖK (interest group of composers of Lower Austria) recording of the CD "Neue Kammermusik aus Niederösterreich" containing pieces of comtemporary composers for violoncello solo, piano solo and violoncello and piano. 2014 this CD was awarded by the government of Lower Austria.

  • Furthermore concert activity as well as broadcasting- and CD-recordings as a soloist and in various chamber music formations (duo violoncello and piano, duo violin and violoncello, piano trio, cello quartet, chamber music with woodwinds, with double bass, with singers...).

 

  • Extensive activity as a music editor - several works by the masters of Viennese music in chamber music instrumentation, string orchestra arrangements and arrangements for use in teaching have been published by the Doblinger publishing house. In addition, numerous arrangements have been recorded on CD: two CDs of string orchestra arrangements "Klingende Kostbarkeiten" with the Tonkünstler-kammerorchester (Academia Allegro Vivo), with the same ensemble and soloist Vahid Khadem-Missagh, works for solo violin and strings by Antonín Dvořák, Maurice Ravel and Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, as well as several CDs with arrangements of Viennese music and virtuoso pieces with the "Wiener Bohème Quartett".

  • Since 2018 collaboration with the Johann Strauss Complete Edition of the Doblinger Publishing House as editor of individual pieces.

  • Since 2019 collaboration with the Josef Strauss Project of the Danube University Krems as editor of some works by Josef Strauss.

 

  • Since 2012 engaged with own compositions – primarily chamber music and solo-pieces but also works for greater orchestration.

  • Since december 2019 leader of the INÖK – Interessengemeinschaft Niederösterreichische KomponistInnen (Composers' Association of Lower Austria)

  • 2021 Commissioned by the Province of Lower Austria for 2 cello pieces
